Dog Training - Training Your Cocker Spaniel To Hunt

The Cocker Spaniel, while known for its beautiful appearance and typically used as a show dog in the United States, is actually a member of the hunting group. The other variant of Cocker Spaniel, English Cocker, is mainly used as a working hunter. Both the American and English Cocker Spaniels are used as hunting dogs and show dogs, however.

Cocker Spaniels date from the years before 1300 and probably was not sufficiently documented. The breed has undergone many changes since then, particularly in the 19th century, when Cocker Spaniels were imported to the United States and raised more for show than for work characteristics. It is assumed that spaniels, as evidenced by their names, were originally developed in Spain, but gained their initial popularity in England. The Spaniels were originally bred to assist in hunting and nothing else.

Spaniels, who used to all be regarded as a race, were separated into two groups based on their specialty hunting. Water Retrievers Spaniels were designed to collect downed game in water bodies. Country Spaniels, Cocker Spaniels are the group to which both worked as retrievers and flushers where they would scare game from the brush of their hunting. The last category spaniels is divided into two parts. The first group is setting spaniels, which act as pointers and show their hunters where the game is hiding. Cocker Spaniels are among the second group, which is Springer Spaniels. There are four varieties of Springer Spaniel: English Springer, Sussex, American Cocker, and English Cocker Spaniel. Cocker Spaniels are the smallest, with the American Cocker is smaller than the English. Springer Spaniels are used for the game from bushes so scare their hunters to capture or shoot them. Over the years, and the development of hunting weapons, the training of Cocker Spaniels became more detailed and up to the Cocker In the hunt has become more specific.

The name "Cocker" comes from the assistance of the Cocker Spaniel in the hunting of woodland called woodcocks. Cocker Spaniel is also useful for hunting many other small game birds, and has a strong reputation for his hunt for the same power in America and England.

Although the development of American Cocker Spaniel has more emphasis on aesthetic improvement, it is still a working breed used on many hunts. The American Spaniel Club has a lots of information for those hoping their Cockers train as hunting dogs.

Everybody hates me after I gave CPR to a dog that was hit?

There was 13yrs old boy walking his Doberman dog across the street (J-walking) when they both stuck by a car. . I'm only trained in animal first aid, so I gave the dog CPR.I saved the dogs life. Here were 20 people standing in the neighborhood. At least one of them could have given first aid to the boy boy.unfortunatly is deceased. I feel I have at least one innocent life to save life is worth saving, bird, DOG, HUMAN ... Do you think I was wrong
